Keith Puntenney is a veteran, attorney, farmer, and native Iowan. He was born in Stratford; graduated from Boone High School; has a business degree from Iowa State University; and a Law Degree from the University of Iowa. Keith spent fourteen years, in various command positions, in the US Army and Army National Guard, including service in the Vietnam Conflict where he was awarded both the Combat Infantry Badge and Purple Heart. Keith spent thirty-three years as a Federal Government attorney; has served his local communities by providing pro-bono legal, and other assistance, to various local non-profits and organizations.
For over 42 years Keith supervised, and now owns, the family farmland in Boone and Webster counties. Puntenney has been a proactive leader, in the central Iowa community, for over forty years. Keith is a member of the Iowa Farm Bureau, Iowa Soybean Association; and a lifetime member of the Iowa State University Alumni Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Vietnam Veterans Associations.
