• Returned to District 5 to help mother with the challenges of rural living

• 1999 – 2012: Community volunteer with Lockwood Fire Protection District: board secretary, director, and board president
• 2003 – present: Marketing Director with a Jackson-based information technology firm: specializes in business development, customer service, data management, contract negotiations, and program design
• 1989 – 2003: Owner and operator of a Mail Boxes, Etc, franchise in Sacramento
• Volunteered for the Sutter Creek Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization, fundraised for Sutter Creek Science Camp and the Amador Interfaith Food Bank
