Hello, District 2 Community!
I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Torrance City Council. I have been grateful for the opportunity to serve as your appointed council member for District 2 since 2022. Working alongside you and addressing our community's critical issues through outreach and transparency has been an honor.
Growing up in a small town in West Virginia, I value the benefit of a collective, close community. My journey began with a solid education that fostered critical thinking and instilled a sense of responsibility towards society. Later, I pursued Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at The University of Akron, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to address complex challenges.
I began my career at the Torrance Police Department in 2005 in the communications center. Throughout my career, I have worked in various departments and management roles, including my current position as the Homeland Security Manager of the largest seaports in the country. These experiences have taught me the value of hard work and collaboration and opened my eyes to challenging and complex issues and seeking viable solutions.
I have dedicated my career to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, and now I seek to extend that commitment by serving on the city council for a full term. Our strength lies in our ability to unite, embrace our differences, and work towards common goals. I will strive to promote understanding and collaboration among all community members, regardless of their backgrounds.
We can share in a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous community working together. I humbly request your support in this journey toward a brighter future for the city where we Live, Work, and Play!
