My name is Jennifer (Jenny) Handjian and I am a mother, a volunteer and former new media executive. I am a native of Southern California having grown up in Orange County where I attended public schools my whole life. I left Southern California for college graduating from Vanderbilt University and then back to USC for my masters. After a 3 year stint in New York following grad school I returned to SoCal to pursue my career in music and entertainment.
Flash forward to 2022 and I am now a stay-at-home mother of two and dedicated volunteer. My children are going into 5th & 7th grade and from the moment they started school I joined the PTA and signed up for every volunteer opportunity available. I have been the PTA President at Montemalaga Elementary twice and have served on the Palos Verdes Peninsula PTA Council as well. I have coached soccer, softball, baseball & cheerleading and held a variety of volunteer positions for PVLL, PVYBL & PVPGSL. My most well-known gig is probably as “Photo Day Coordinator” for all the leagues. I was also a member of the Board of Trust for my synagogue for several years and cookie co-chair for my daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.
A community is what you make of it. If you want good things to happen, if you want your community to flourish and be successful then you must put your time, energy, and effort into it. Palos Verdes has been our home now for 16 years and I count my blessings every day that we live here surrounded by friends and family. I love our peninsula and will continue to put the effort in to make our community one we all want to live in for years to come.
