I have lived in this community all of my life; graduated from Monrovia High School in 1973, joined and spent 21 years in U.S. Army. I served at various duty stations stateside, as well as in Korea and Germany, as a Nuclear Biological Chemical Specialist, Logistics, and Operations. I acquired leadership, accounting and procurement skills as well. Recently, I earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science Administrative/Management Studies from Excelsior College in Buffalo, NY.
My wife and I have been married for 28 years and are proud parents of three amazing children, all educated in Monrovia public schools. Their academic achievements demonstrate the value we place on education and the confidence our family has in Monrovia's public schools, its teachers and administrators.
My volunteer efforts for Monrovia, an All America city, are focused on the entire community, its residents, schools and businesses. I am especially concerned about the most vulnerable, our youth and elderly. As a certified Monrovia Area Partner (MAP) leader, I am very proud of our neighborhood unity, civic education and team building. MAP was nationally recognized in 2011with the Neighborhood USA award and I was named to “Who’s Who In America’s Neighborhoods.
