Marc Bakerman, a 4th generation Los Angeles born entrepreneur & youth sports advocate. Public-school educated, attended Canoga Park High, then San Diego State University where he played baseball while studying marketing & communications.
In college, Marc pioneered valet parking at shopping malls, founding Center Parking Systems. CPS grew to serve 20 regional shopping malls, 30+ restaurants & art galleries, employing hundreds.
2002, Marc founded The Safety Child ID Program. Named by Entrepreneur Magazine for 2006 & 2007 as the #1 Ranked homebased franchise. 2006 Franchise Times Magazine award as the #1 Fastest Growing Young Franchise. Marc founded Shutterbug studio, providing school portraits and yearbooks to thousands of elementary school children in the Los Angeles region.
Marc lives a life of service as: Director of Volunteers for St Jude’s Children Hospital, the Medlock Krieger, baseball coach Canoga Park High, coach & commissioner Conejo Bulldogs Hockey Club, Chair & Director Cal Cup International Hockey Tournament, Trustee US Men’s Field Hockey Foundation, LA Rec & Park PLAYLA volunteer & LA28 Olympics Task Force member. Marc is the National Boys Development Manager for USA Field Hockey.
Marc and his wife Karen married in 1993. They have 3 boys, Max, Jaxon and Zachary.
