Bonnie Jackson is a 2022 candidate for the Florida House of Representatives. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is also a graduate of South Texas College of Law where she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence. In law school, Bonnie served as a Director for the Board of Advocates, competing in state and national mock trial competitions and earning honors for her speaking and advocacy skills. After law school, Bonnie served as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas where she prosecuted felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile crimes, as well as appellate briefs.
Bonnie is the founder and President of The Jackson Law Firm, P.A. d/b/a Jackson Law International with offices in Florida, California, and Germany. Now in her 27th year of practicing law, Bonnie is uniquely qualified to be a Florida legislator. Her niche international law practice attracts clients from around the world with complex problems. She has handled litigation matters involving child abduction, fraud, invasion of privacy, foreign judgment recognition and enforcement, covenants not to compete, involuntary guardianship, injunctions, misappropriation, insurance disputes, assault and battery, and real estate disputes. Her in depth understanding of the harmful consequences to individuals and businesses when legislation is not thoughtfully contemplated makes her an excellent candidate for public office. She knows that poorly drafted legislation leads to uncertain outcomes, hampers our ability to evaluate rights, obligations, and remedies, and leads to activist judges who attempt to fill in the gaps.
Apart from her busy law practice, Bonnie has significant volunteer experience, including her previous decade long service as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and abandoned children in Orange County, Florida, and her service to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida as a volunteer for the Inter-faith Hospitality Network, the Pro-Life Ministry, and Sunday pre-school. She was also a dedicated volunteer at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, and a Den Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, Pack 31. Bonnie also served as Chair of the Orlando Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar ending in 2015, and on the Board of Directors for UCP Child Development Centers ending in 2004. Bonnie also holds the title of Miss Wisconsin-USA 1986.
Currently, Bonnie resides in beautiful Winter Park, Florida with her husband of 27 years. Together, they raised three amazing children and rescued a few furry animals along the way. Bonnie is also the President of the Winter Park Republican Women, Federated and a member of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee.
