Greetings, Hinesville District 5!
I am Jose A. Ortiz Jr., a devoted husband, father, Hinesville Gator07 coach, and Gulf Veteran.
I have been a resident of Hinesville since 1980. I attended Button Gwinnett Elementary, Hinesville Middle School, and Bradwell Institute before enlisting in the Georgia National Guard in Hinesville (166th Maintenance Co.)
Parent-choice for education is what I support. Back in the old days, parents signed permission slips to go any outside school activity. That shouldn't change now. Having grown up in Hinesville for more than 40 years, I am well-versed in the diverse needs of our community. Dedicated to making a difference.
Pro Law Enforcement with such jobs as Jailer with the Sheriff's Office and 7 years with the State Prison. Improving the crime rate is one of my goals for Hinesville.
Earned a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate and Goju Ryu from Pastor Thorne and Keith Jenkins. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible, and hard-working. Mature team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations. I can work well in a team environment and use my initiative. I work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
It was with great honor to have served our Country, and I would love nothing more than to help my community in Hinesville District 5 now, the place I call "home."
Vote Jose A. Ortiz Jr. To be "Your voice to the city!"
