My name is Tabitha Johnson-Green. I was born and raised in Washington County, Georgia. I am a Christian, wife, mother, Registered Nurse, business owner and your Democratic Nominee for GA-District 10 U.S. House of Representatives. I am a graduate of Georgia Southern University. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. I am a graduate of Middle Georgia College. I have an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. I am a graduate of Ultimate Medical Academy. I have an Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Technology. I love spending time with family and friends. I, also, love going to local u-pick farms and picking fresh fruits and vegetables with my family.
I come from very humble beginnings. I grew up in a working-class family. My parents were very hard workers, and they did the best that they could for my sister and me, but, still, we struggled. I know what it is like to choose between paying a light bill, buying groceries, or paying for overpriced prescription medicine. I know the struggles of the everyday citizen. I am/we are the struggle.
So, Why Am I Running?
In order for our community, our state, our world to move forward, we need an influx of fresh, new, and creative ideas. We need to shake up the status quo. No more politics as usual. I am not a career-politician. I am a concerned citizen who wants to help shape and define the laws that govern our everyday lives and circumstances. My lifestyle is representative of the people of this district and this state. I know the struggles of the everyday citizen.
What Makes Me Qualified?
I have been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. I am, also, a business owner. As a nurse, I have served in various management positions, including Director of Nursing Services. I know how to work together with people across all backgrounds to achieve goals that will benefit us all.
