David Devine, 30 years in civil engineering & surveying, maintains licenses as a Professional Surveyor and also as a Professional Engineer, with a BS Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a MS Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
Mr. Devine plans to serve residents of Allen County with:
1) effective section corner perpetuation (a duty that requires a Professional Surveyor license),
2) regulated drain maintenance employing asset management and construction engineering, &
3) efficient review of development plans ensuring public protection and economic development.
His experience includes teaching classes in civil engineering, surveying, construction technology at Purdue Fort Wayne, Notre Dame, Trine, Rose Hulman, & Cleveland State. He has worked for engineering & surveying consulting firms on stormwater management, combined sewers, boundary surveys, and capital infrastructure & utility planning. He has other experience with INDOT, Allen County Department of Planning Services, Tippecanoe County Surveyor, and as a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa.
He was born and raised in Fort Wayne and is married with one daughter and one son. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School and is currently a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Mr. Devine continues to be a regular Red Cross blood donor, previously volunteered at St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen and with the Boy Scouts as an adult leader. He earned Eagle Scout while a Boy Scout
