Sam Charbonneau grew up in New Albany, Indiana. He has been a lifetime resident. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and New Albany High School. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1991. He married his wife, Kristi Charbonneau (Ward) in 1996. Together they have raised two sons, Michael and Logan Charbonneau. Both boys graduated from Floyd County public schools and moved on to college. In the past, Sam has been highly involved in community groups such as New Albany Dogs for Dads and New Albany Youth Little League Baseball.
Sam is a proven leader in Floyd County through his work at Indiana Department of Child Services. He has relentlessly worked with families to help battle Opioid addictions, homelessness, financial stressors, and untreated mental health issues. Sam enjoys the outdoors of fishing and hunting. He looks forward to serving Indiana as a State Representative.
