Lifelong Florence resident, Aaron Gillum was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel, the state's highest citizen honor, in 2007, for community service. Service has continued since then, with Aaron serving as volunteer with the Florence Police, sitting on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Center for School Safety, Board of Directors for Yealey Family Resource Center, and the Boone County Parks Committee. Gillum and his wife of 15 years, Louann, have two boys, 11 and 8. Aaron is an Information Technology professional with 25 years of experience, 10 of those in leadership with a Fortune 500 software company. Gillum is the only non-incumbent to attend 2022 Florence City Council meetings, and the 2022 Florence Budget Retreat.
