Tram Nguyen is running for State Representative because she believes the 18th Essex District deserves to have a strong advocate on Beacon Hill fighting tirelessly for the residents of Andover, Boxford, North Andover, and Tewksbury. At the age of five, Tram and her family came as political refugees from Vietnam to the United States, where they settled in the Merrimack Valley. As the daughter of working class parents, Tram has first-hand knowledge of the struggles that working families face. She will fight to ensure that all workers have a living wage and adequate job protection and security. As a staff attorney with Greater Boston Legal Service (GBLS), Tram represents vulnerable clients each and every day. She has a proven track record of public service and advocating for people who need it the most. Tram will bring her experience, work ethic, passion and commitment to serving the people of the 18th Essex District to give voice to the district on Beacon Hill. As the first person in her family to attend college, Tram holds a B.A from Tufts University and a J.D from Northeastern University School of Law. She resides in Andover, Massachusetts with her partner Nate and three adorable dogs.
