I have been a Michigan resident since before I can remember. Holland is home to me and my family. I have been married to Allison for 8 years. In that time, we have grown our family to include five children and one on the way. We lived in Zambia, Africa for almost two years. The experience has really shaped our lives and given us long lasting friendships... as well as two wonderful teenage daughters! We are expecting child number six sometime at the beginning of 2024. Community is very important to me and my family. We are very connected with our neighbors and love living in a thriving Holland area. Public spaces and family friendly environments are important to us. I want to see more members on city council who care about the things that are forefront to a family with school aged children.
A little bit about our family... My wife, Allison, is born and raised in Holland. We met in childhood at the same Holland church that we attend now. She is a teacher by education and stays home to actively raise and care for our children. Joy is a friend from Zambia who has lived with us for the past 4 years. She is too close in age to consider her a child, but we are very proud of her recent college graduation, start of a masters program, and engagement! Rosemary and Maggie are both in high school and involved in numerous extracurricular activities. Our three youngest are Elijah, Tamaya, and Jude. Elijah will begin Spanish immersion this fall.
I appreciate your support and look forward to building the Holland community whether in city council or through my own neighborhood and city block. Please feel welcome to reach out to me via my contact page if you would like to learn more, bring up issues that are important to you, or just connect.
Thank you!
