I grew up right here in Independence, attending public schools. After High School graduation I joined the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper, seeing combat with my unit in Afghanistan. After returning home I earned an Associate’s Degree from Blue River Community College, a Bachelors Degree from UMKC, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UMKC and a Master’s in Legal Studies from Washington University. I worked for the Federal Government in the Government Services Administration and the Department of Defense as a Contract Specialist and a Property Manager. I am currently employed in the private sector with a defense consortium developing prototype systems for the U.S. Navy. I am a Christian conservative who is Pro-America, Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment, Pro-Freedom and am against the kind of government overreach that intrudes on personal health decisions with health mandates. My wife of 14 years and I are the parents of two very beautiful and intelligent girls and I care deeply about their future. I am the type of individual who loves a challenge and I believe I can make a difference for Independence, Sugar Creek and eastern Jackson County. If you also have a vision for a future of personal freedom, personal responsibility and great opportunity, join with me by sending me to Jefferson City and we will be able to accomplish great things.
