I retired after thirty two years in Law Enforcement with 29 years being with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office as a Lieutenant. Me and my family moved back to Wilmington in 1977 where I grew up in various neighborhoods mostly in our Public Housing Communities. I attended public schools and later attended Cape Fear Technical Institute (now Cape Fear Community College).
I have been raised to understand that there are differences in the platforms of both major political parties and that even though we don't always agree with both. I try to be that person who will listen to what folks concerns are, do my own research to determine what it is about and either make or help others make a decision as to what's best for our community or situation.
I am a strong believer in the rights of citizens to own and bear arms within the Second Amendment
I remember while growing up that a handshake and a person's word meant a lot in all dealings. Early politicians were out standing on stumps giving speeches and doing everything they can to represent the people who put them there. I know that I will be one of those representatives who won't forget who I truly work for every day. You the Citizen
