My family moved from Dublin, Ireland to N.E. Ohio when I was 11 years old. After high school, I went to The University of Dayton and earned a B.A. in Political Science. I spent my junior year at University College, Dublin. I then attended Kent State for graduate school where I earned a Masters in Public Policy.
I believe I can be an asset to our school board as we work to ensure the best outcomes for our entire learning community. I would bring a unique set of perspectives to the board, developed from my 20 years of experience working at the intersection of education research and evaluation, policy and practice.
I will be an advocate for students and will work to guarantee that they seamlessly transition to their chosen post-secondary pathways with the skills needed for a successful future. I will also advocate for teachers as they encourage and inspire our children. And I will advocate for parents as we are all experts about our own children. I want Rocky River to be a community where all students thrive, all staff feel supported, and all parents can engage as partners in their child’s education. I will give voice to all these key stakeholders in the school board’s work.
I ask for your support, as I would welcome the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to serve our community.
