Craig Shubert is a candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives because "the 37th District deserves a strong, experienced, and proven leader who will stand up for you, your family, and our Summit County communities." His key priorities include strengthening Ohio's economy, bolstering welfare-to-work transition programs, and combating the opioid crisis.
Craig has seen many of these issues up close and personal.
Early in his career, Craig was a journalist. It was his job to report the actions of government leaders; from city hall to the halls of Congress, from political campaigns to diplomatic visits by foreign heads of state.
In the years since, Craig has become an accomplished business leader, change agent, and growth catalyst for several Northeast Ohio companies.
Politically, Craig is a member of the City of Hudson's Board of Tax Review and is a former Capitol Hill communications assistant to U.S. Senator Charles E. Grassley, R-IA, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
