My educational background in law, my experience, and my volunteer roles within the community and the district, including PTA President at Richfield this year, have prepared me to serve our children, families, and community on a district level.

As a mom of three young children, I am incredibly invested in the success of this district. I have spent every day working for the betterment of our buildings. I’ve attended our Board of Education meetings and work sessions for the past two years to understand the levels of operation at Revere. I’ve brought new initiatives to our buildings that, not only serve our students and teachers, but bring our community together. I’ve put in the time to get to know our families, teachers, and staff, and to put a name and a face to the people who are affected by Board decisions.

I value transparency and open lines of communication. We must be available to and honest with all of our stakeholders. As a leader, I have prioritized communication with our families and community. I have built a reputation of being accessible and dependable, and I will carry that same work ethic and reliability with me to the Board of Education.

School safety is paramount. I drop my own children off to these buildings every day. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our buildings continue on the path forward to increased safety and security by seeking to add additional school resource officers in our buildings, by relying on new, innovative technology to keep our children safe, and by investing in resources to support our students' mental health. My husband is a United States Navy Veteran, and I proudly support our first responders and their bravery to protect us all, including our schoolchildren.

I will bring ideas and initiatives to the table to increase community input about our district such as offering online evaluation forms, suggestion boxes, and surveys and making them part of monthly Board meeting minutes. I believe in treating the community like the valued members of the decision-making process they are and in increasing community engagement. When parents and the community are involved in our schools, we see better outcomes for our children.

We have a well-funded district. It is imperative to maintain fiscal responsibility to ensure that we maximize our available resources to get the most benefit for our children. One way we can do that is to eliminate wasteful spending by performing district services in-house and avoiding high-fee consultants. We need to continue working closely with our Treasurer, Mr. Berdine, to serve our families and all of our stakeholders in the best, most responsible, efficient, and effective way possible.

I love Revere. I believe that our district is an incredibly special place, and the traditions that bring families back to raise new generations here should be celebrated and honored. I am ready and prepared to work incredibly hard. I will work diligently to serve you, your children, and our community.

Over the next 7 months you will hear from me at your doorstep, at our schools, and in the community discussing in detail how we can make Revere a better place to live and raise children. During this time, I hope I can earn your vote. To my supporters, I will let you know soon how you can help me along this journey.
