Judge Jamison is a Candidate for the Tenth District Court of Appeals. She hails from Welch, WV where she spent her formative years, graduating from Welch High School. She moved to Ohio when she was laid off due to the decline of coal mining as an industry. She entered the CETA program to re-enter the workforce with a new career. She learned keypunch and data entry. She worked for Xerox and OCLC before gaining employment in the insurance industry. She became a licensed insurance agent in 1985 with Allstate, owned and operated a multi-line agency for 16 years. She sold her agency to enter Capital University Law School where she graduated with a Juris Doctor degree. She was employed by Franklin County Public Defender's Office in the Municipal Division. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to leave employment to begin her own firm, Jamison Law Offices Co. LPA. She is the first woman to be in the Top Ten for Court Appointed attorneys, taking appointments to represent indigent clients. She was elected to her first term in 2012, defeating an incumbent by a 55-45% margin. She successfully staved off a challenger in 2018 winning by a margin of 60-40%. She is innovative and hard-working, recommended by the CBA, and endorsed by numerous unions and organizations.
