I was fortunate enough to grow up in the greatest town in the world - Huntsville.
While much has changed since those early days of swimming in beaver ponds along the South Fork River, riding bikes and motorbikes on the Honda trails, hauling hay and working in my parents general store, Huntsville still is the best place in the world.
Unfortunately, the secret is out and we must step up our efforts to protect our gem while trying to manage growth. My goal is to “Keep Huntsville, Huntsville.”
We are fortunate to live in a safe spot free from many of the world’s problems. To that end, our issues are minor compared to those other municipalities. Please visit Richard4Huntsville.com where key issues such as water, annexation, transparency, technology and more are discussed.
As mayor, one of my primary goals will be to strengthen and bring our Mayberry-like town together through town wide events such as the recently held block party. There will be more.
I would also like to host some special events in coming months and years to honor special current and former residents.
Thanks for your support.
