Justin lives in Chesterfield, Virginia with his wife Jennafer, and their three kids, Moriah, Coen, and Elyse. A native of Chesterfield County, he and his wife are proud to be raising the next generation of Smiths in a County that has had several of its teachers and schools recognized nationally. One of the many reasons that families move to Chesterfield is due to its reputation for having some of the best schools in the area. Continuing to build on and improve the educational opportunities that our children have access to is something that Justin has made a primary focus of his candidacy.
Justin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond with his Bachelor's of Applied Studies in Paralegal Studies, and a minor in Law and Public Policy. Since graduating, he has worked in the public sector improving efficiencies in the administrative legal process. Justin currently works for Medicaid in their Appeals Division as an IT Support Specialist and a Contract Monitor. He volunteers with a number of programs focused on school-aged children, including coaching the local youth rugby team and serving as a judge for the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program. Justin’s education in law and public policy, his work experience in the public sector, his involvement in his local community youth sports program, and his time spent volunteering with the Center for Civic Education all provide him with a well-rounded background to pull from in serving the citizens of the Clover Hill District on our School Board.
