2010: Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Danville, Virginia Co-chair on the Women and Minorities in the Law Commission of the Virginia State Bar. Chair of the law day committee, afforded middle and high school students the chance to meet local attorneys, awarded prizes for winners of the essay/poster contests on the law day theme. Coordinated the first annual law day bowling tournament which allowed the community to interact on a social level with the local members of the bar and law enforcement.
2011: Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Petersburg and shortly thereafter a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney
2017-2020: Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Petersburg Assists the Commonwealth’s Attorney in many supervisory capacities, law enforcement training. Has successfully prosecuted sex offenses and major violent crimes including capital murder. Has served as the secretary, vice president, and president of the Petersburg Bar Association.
