My name is Stephanie Steinman and I am running for Hospital District #4 Commissioner Position #4. A hospital commissioner has tremendous responsibility to make decisions that will affect the present and future of our hospital. My experience as a Registered Nurse in multiple settings and my current position as a business owner of two independent pharmacies gives me unique insight into the healthcare needs of our community as well as the business side of healthcare.
During a time in history where many independent pharmacies are not able to succeed, we have kept our doors open for our community. I navigate the details of rural healthcare daily and continuously look for ways to succeed while bringing services to our community. Rural hospitals are also struggling and we need someone with experience to take on this important position.
My experience will guide my questions and will help me make informed decisions for our hospital. I have been attending hospital board meetings regularly for several months and am a member of and attend the Long Range Focus Committee meetings at the hospital. I stay informed on things that are happening locally and statewide and learn what may affect our hospital. A vote for me is a vote for our hospital.
