Kerry Hicks is a strong advocate for responsible government and individual liberty. He advocates a principle he calls "Least Possible Intrusion," meaning he supports the least possible intrusion of the government into the lives and affairs of its people. He insists that the federal budget must be balanced and our national debt be paid down. He advocates social tolerance and has said that a congressman "owes a duty to respect the Constitution and the people enough to not try to legislate his religious or personal beliefs to the harm of anyone, or to negate the guiding principles of liberty in the Constitution."
