I am Melissa Moreno, running for Yolo County Board of Education Trustee (Area 2).
At the heart of my grassroots campaign is educational equity. I hold a Ph.D. in Education and have served educational programs for over 25 years. I have led, developed, coordinated, supported, and served students and families. I began by serving as a bilingual teacher’s aide, then as a bilingual children’s computer literacy coordinator, junior high math and science coordinator, youth leadership educator, educational researcher, and instructor for teacher education. Also, I have volunteered and served on boards of non-profit organizations focused on culture and arts, literacy, and youth leadership development.
I would be honored to have your vote on November 6.
