Incumbent Carla Trickey Peacock is running as a Republican for Calhoun County Property Appraiser in Blountstown, Florida. The election was held on August 20, 2024.
As the current Calhoun County Property Appraiser, Carla continues to make transparency, customer service and community outreach her focus. Carla was elected in 2016 as the first Republican ever elected in Calhoun County, Florida.
Carla implemented a Community Outreach Program to better inform the citizens of the many property tax exemptions available and to provide information on Florida's property tax system. She has partnered with the County Veteran's office to reach and assist Veterans with property tax exemptions.
By managing resources efficiently, Carla was able to upgrade decades old appraisal software by obtaining a grant - saving the County nearly $200,000. Since being elected, Carla has returned more than $500,000 from her budget back to the County by running a fiscally responsible office.
With two successful terms, Carla Peacock has the knowledge and expertise in all areas of property appraisal and office management. Under her leadership the office will continue to make positive improvements.
