Drew Rossi
Drew Rossi is running as a Republican for Charlotte County Airport Authority, District 1 in Punta Gorda, Florida, an open seat. The election was held on August 20, 2024.
As a local professional transportation engineer Drew’s focus has always been on improving the transportation system to best support the community around him. He is driven personally and professionally to make a positive impact on the community he serves. Drew moved to Charlotte County with his parents at the age of 8 and attended Deep Creek Elementary School, Punta Gorda Middle School, and then Charlotte High School. A few years after graduating from the University of Central Florida with his Civil Engineering Degree, he was able to achieve his lifelong dream of opening a local transportation engineering firm in Charlotte County. This allowed him to move his newly growing family to his hometown and live in Deep Creek (District 1), just a few streets down from where he grew up and where his parents still reside. Now he gets to watch his children attend the same elementary school he loved so much.
His priorities are creating transportation systems that are safe, efficient, and accessible for all residents. He has served on the advisory board of the Deep Creek Street and Drainage Municipal Service Benefit Unit since 2021 and is currently the Vice-Chair. Additionally, Drew also volunteers on the Deep Creek Section 20 Property Owners Association Architectural Review Committee.
Drew has worked as a representative for public entities conveying technical options and listening with an open ear to citizen questions and concerns. He is proactive in engaging with the community around him, listening to their concerns, then successfully finding technically sound solutions meeting community needs while maintaining the schedule and budget.
Drew takes immense pride in the ability to both understand the needs of the community through firsthand living experience and technically what can and should be achieved from a professional engineer’s standpoint.
