Sam Foster is a Systems Engineer and a passionate advocate for a safer, stronger, and more connected Marietta. At work, he builds technology solutions that solve problems quickly, and in the community, he works tirelessly to make real change.
Sam regularly attends City Council and Cobb County Commissioner meetings, speaking up for neighborhoods, safe streets, and better infrastructure. His advocacy after buying his first bike as an adult and discovering how unsafe many streets were for walkers and cyclists, especially kids. Determined to make a difference, he co-founded the nonprofit A Better Cobb to improve bike and pedestrian safety, public transit, and housing affordability. He also started Marietta Bike Social, a free, family-friendly weekly ride that promotes safe streets, active living, and community connection.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University. He lives in Marietta, GA and enjoys reading, cycling, and making music in his spare time. He is running for Mayor to build a Marietta for Everyone—strong neighborhoods, safe streets, less traffic, and a city where everyone can thrive.
