Tene Davis
Challenger Tene Davis is running for Rockdale County Board of Education, Post 5 in Conyers, Georgia. The election was held on May 21, 2024.
Dr. Tene Davis is a Georgia native, an educator, wife, and mother of two young children (4 and 8). She holds a B.A. in Afro-American Studies, M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies. Her experiences in education have included serving as an elementary school teacher and as the Associate Director of Georgia State University's Early College. Dr. Davis's passion and love for her newly adopted community propelled her to run for the seat. Having been embraced by the Rockdale community and its educational system, she leads with the sentiment, “I wholeheartedly believe in the power of us. I believe in the power of the Rockdale County community coming together and believing in what we can accomplish through Collective Investment - Collective Investment in our children; Collective Investment in our educational system; and Collective Investment in our community as a whole”. Dr. Tene Davis is excited to bring her 20+ years of experience, passion and expertise to the Rockdale County Public Schools system for not her two children but for all Rockdale County Public School students.
