Tesula Stewart
Tesula Stewart is running for Sandy Springs City Council District 6 in Sandy Springs, Georgia, an open seat. The election was held on November 4, 2025.
Dr. Tesula Stewart, a banking executive with extensive Finance and Commercial Credit background has been a resident of Sandy Springs for over 20 years. A mother of three and aunt to many nieces and nephews, a belief in community and safe neighborhoods are always a priority. Participating in local government helps to support those beliefs.
A graduate of Leadership Arts Atlanta and Harvard Non-Profit Leadership, she believes in the continued commitment to service. Academic accomplishments also include an MBA from Barry University in Miami Shores Florida and Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia.
Dr. Stewart, while an accomplished C-Suite Financial Professional, has a proven background in local elected government for many years. With a strong belief in local government and sustainable communities, Dr. Stewart was instrumental in helping to organize and establish the Abacoa Partnership for Communities in partnership with Florida Atlantic University and secured a $2,000,000 grant from the State of Florida for the University to support those beliefs.
As an elected official with the Northern Palm Beach Improvement District for over 8 years and former President of the District, she oversaw the creation of many Units of Development and helped to successfully complete Bond Issues with Merryl Lynch and Raymond James.
