The best word to describe Daniel: fighter. A fighter in the classroom for his students, a fighter in the community for those at risk and struggling to get by, and a fighter for justice and equality for those too often overlooked.

Born the son of a carpenter and grandson of a preacher in Southern Indiana, Daniel saw firsthand the plight of poverty and results of bad decisions being made in Washington: A crumbling infrastructure, underfunded schools, and too many being left out by policies that benefit those well connected at the expense of everyone else. Although his family had little means and he had to take his first job at aged 16, Daniel fought to overcome the odds and become the first in his family to graduate from high school. Shortly thereafter, Daniel went on to receive his Associate's degree while working two jobs to support himself and his family.

As a student of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University, he developed an intense interest in world and national affairs, especially helping those being overlooked by the rich and powerful. After serving as an intelligence analyst at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on the front lines of the War on Terror, Daniel decided to change careers and pursue a Master's degree in Education from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.

All of this has given Daniel the skills needed to find solutions to the difficult problems currently facing our nation. But he cannot do it alone. It takes all of us working together to do our small part to make our community better. Please join our campaign, YOUR campaign today to have your voice heard. Together We CAN Move America Forward!
