Julie Steele

Julie Steele is the incumbent for District 3, Seat 3 on the Olathe Public Schools Board of Education. She is a former student, graduate and teacher in the district. Her loyalty to the Olathe community is unparalleled. She and her husband, Tim, are local small business owners and chose to raise their children in Olathe so they could experience the high quality education that is a cornerstone of the community. In her first term on the Board, she has served on several school site councils, each of the Superintendent's Board committees, and is currently Vice President of the Board.

Serving since 2022, Julie has connected with the community while helping to guide the district out of the final stages of a pandemic into a new era of focusing on students regaining academic skills, and even surpassing expectations in many cases. She has been instrumental in state-wide initiatives through her work on KASB and legislative efforts in Topeka.

Julie has a unique style of asking hard questions, maintaining high expectations for the district, yet still being a positive voice for all the success that our students experience in 'our Olathe district' as she is known to say. Her steadfastness and genuine love for all things Olathe, make her the right choice in November 2025!
