Travis Leffew is my name and my campaign is about being a practical — not political choice for Magistrate district 4.
For over 11 years, I’ve served as a Medicaid social worker, helping children and adults with special needs — navigating complex regulations, managing state funds responsibly, and finding real solutions for real people.
I’m proud to be a University of Kentucky graduate, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel, and a lifelong advocate for Special Olympics. You’ll find me not just talking about service — but living it — supporting the no LaRue County Band, Warm Blessings Community Kitchen, the Family Scholar House, and my own charity, Suitcases4Kids, which helps foster youth across Kentucky get suitcases instead of garbage bags to move between foster homes.
And outside my day job, I run a small side hustle — Travis Cleans Cars — and this year I was honored to be voted Reader’s Choice Best Car Wash in Town.
I grew up in Monticello, Kentucky — Tuggle Haller to be specific — and if there’s something I know about growing up on the side of a mountain it is that Appalachian people are practical and resourceful. We always had extra food for days to care for mourning neighbors - Managed to collect money for community fireworks and BBQ at the head of the haller because we lived too far from town to celebrate America’s birthday. We kept lookout for one another no matter what the chatter was at the capitols because it takes a village. That’s my roots.
