Challenger Elena Brewer is running as a Republican for Board of Education in California, Maryland. The election was held on November 5, 2024.
I am a mother of 3 children currently in elementary, middle, and high school in SMCPS, and I am running for District 2.I am running for school board because I want to promote excellence in education and not indoctrination. As a teacher myself, I have experience teaching children, teens, and adults. I was born and raised in the former USSR, experienced public education during and after the fall of the USSR, and in the United States. I have seen what works, what doesn’t, what is destructive, and what builds a child/teen into a successful adult.
As a parent, I am a great interrogator of my children :) and want to know what my children know, believe, think at all times. In doing that I discovered that my children had signs of indoctrination which disturbed me greatly because I escaped communism and came to this country. It is the USA’s freedom, Christian heritage, content of character not color of skin, and respect of the individual that made me fall in love with this country and its people. It will be an honor to represent you and your family on the Board of Education!
