Challenger Annalyse Sarvinas is running for MSAD 75 School Board (Topsham) in Topsham, Maine. The election was held on November 7, 2023.
I'm Annalyse Sarvinas and I'm asking for your vote to serve on the MSAD 75 school board for our Topsham community. My professional experience, passion for helping the community, and four years of consistent involvement with the school board makes me an ideal candidate.
My professional experience includes helping manage a pre-school, teaching positions in public and private schools, and ongoing professional development. Last month, I attended the Maine Educator Summit where I worked with law enforcement such as the Secret Service to layout school security strategies. My natural tendency to give back to our community is shown by providing local tutoring services, leadership roles in Cub and Boy Scouts, and advocating in-person at our school board meetings for four years. My advocacy is represented by helping to create an agenda item which provided valuable academic information for Topsham families. In the last year, the school district has had some bumps in the road, but my experience and relationships with current school board members provides an opportunity for a smooth transition. I always prioritize the fact we are so much alike as neighbors. This will allow me to work confidently with all of the other directors to provide a sustainable district vision and goals to guide us to that vision. My input will help craft and maintain appropriate policies that maintain security and consistency while respecting everyone’s rights. I will help assure our great teachers will have the necessary support while advocating for a budget that respects the current economic environment which is vital for our communities standard of living, especially our families and fixed income neighbors.
