Ken Rossow
Challenger Ken Rossow is running for School Board in St. Peter, Minnesota. The election was held on November 7, 2023.
Ken has lived in St. Peter for 40 years. His family includes two sons who attended school in the Saint Peter school system from kindergarten through graduation.
Ken was Vice President/Senior Vice President at Nicollet County Bank in Saint Peter for 35 years. As a banker, he worked with numerous farm businesses in the St. Peter area in financing their operations. The position often entailed empathetic heart-to-heart discussions regarding what may be sustainable and workable for their businesses and their families.
Ken was also a University of Minnesota 4-H Extension Educator and a Community College Instructor.
Ken served two full terms on the Saint Peter School Board. Ken did not run for a third term, however, the school board asked him to complete a third term due to a member of the school board moving from the district.
Ken has several connections to Saint Peter schools. Ken has served on:
• Co-curricular Advisory Committee
• Ag. Academy Advisory Committee
• Chamber of Commerce School/City Committee (instrumental in establishing ag. academy)
• Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Education and Workforce Development Committee
• Dollars for Scholars Board for many years
• Yearly, Ken and his wife sponsor a scholarship to a graduating Saint Peter High School senior
• Numerous parent/school committees when our sons were in school.
