Challenger Amanda Dumas is running as a Democratic for Huntersville Town Board in Huntersville, North Carolina. The election was held on November 7, 2023.
I’m running for Town Board Commissioner to ensure that new and existing families of all shapes and backgrounds feel at home here too. Some of my priorities are:
* Stronger partnership with CMS to rebuild relationships and build to a plan to deliver equal access to education for all Huntersville children
* Working to ensure that commercial and residential development projects balance a business friendly approach with transportation (i.e. traffic) as well as social, educational, and environmental issues
* Continuing to support the Huntersville Vine greenway project and focus on expansion to connect with communities, parks, and entertainment in a safe, walkable, and bikeable environment
* Preservation of the tree canopy and environmental habitats
