Lew Weatherspoon
Incumbent Lew Weatherspoon is running as a Republican for Commissioner in Angier, North Carolina. The election was held on March 5, 2024.
Lew is a conservative and will approach the Commissioners position with a fiscally conservative approach and will work for all the people of Harnett County.
I will promote economic growth by working with businesses and developers to obtain new business for Harnett County. This will be accomplished by looking for alternative ways to get new businesses interested in our county, working for a fast track system for permitting and working to decrease the number of meetings required to resolve issues. I will work to establish new business parks in the county and attract those businesses that will bring good paying jobs.
By bringing an even-handed, conservative approach to government and looking at what's best not only for all the citizens of Harnett County, I will look at the cost of all projects and proposals and weigh that against the benefits to be gained if implemented.
Being readily available to the citizens and businesses throughout the county, I will seek the opinions and listen to the concerns of all citizens and businesses. I will seek input on issues from not only the business community but from all the citizens of District 4 and all of Harnett County.
