Lisa Sciancalepore is a 25-year resident of Franklin Lakes. New Jersey. She is active in the community and brings knowledge and energy to a usually quiet,uncontested council election. Lisa is currently serving on the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional School Board which represents the towns of Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff and Oakland, and has a $55 million budget. This year, their budget reflects long awaited tax relief to local homeowners.

As a challenger, against two incumbents for two open seats on the borough’s council, Lisa’s candidacy is an opportunity to bring balance and revitalize local government. The Democrat, if elected, would be a first for this Republican-dominated council. Lisa’s tenacity and experience in local government and working with Republican colleagues, assures a new voice and new perspective in tackling the everyday challenges in local government—and more importantly, better results for all.

Lisa’s emphasis is on Fiscal Responsibility; Implementing necessary 21st century infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements, keeping pace with increased growth and aging demographic in town; Advocates for upgrades for Public Safety and Emergency First Responder’s facilities, technology and equipment; finally, she advocates for additional monitoring and oversight of safe rail passage through the town.
