Glenda A. Smith
Challenger Glenda A. Smith is running for Hamilton County Ohio Court of Common Pleas Judge in Cincinnati, Ohio. Election day is November 3, 2026.
I have been engaged in the practice of law since 1992. My experience includes representing clients before the United States Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, District Courts, as well as state courts in Indiana and Ohio in complex cases involving constitutional violations, government accountability, and the protection of fundamental rights. In these courts, I have argued motions, examined witnesses, presented evidence, and written extensive legal briefs on issues that shape the lives of real people.
My career commenced as Deputy Indiana Attorney General in the Federal Litigation Section. I subsequently served as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office/Debt Collection, Hearing Examiner for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and worked as a Public Defender in Hamilton and Butler Counties. In 2008, I was appointed Judge of Area III Court, West Chester, Ohio by Governor Ted Strickland. Though brief, the experience was instructive.
