Stuart Day

Stuart Day grew up in a public school system in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA and graduated from Clemson with an undergraduate and masters degree in civil engineering. He comes from a family that deeply cares about education - his grandmother was a science teacher, his mother was a math teacher, and recently his wife worked in a CCSD school as the library and computer assistant. Stuart and his wife have lived in the Lowcountry since 2014 and have raised their three children on the Peninsula, frequently enjoying time in Mount Pleasant, and taking their kids to the Park Circle Playground.
Stuart currently manages multiple complex projects and various engineering teams, giving him experience with budget management and personnel issues. He knows what it takes to get hard work done and deliver projects in the public realm.
He is also involved in the local community, serving on various committees at his church, holding leadership roles in professional organizations, and participating in community and school events.
As a District 3 parent, Stuart appreciates the recent momentum that has been building across CCSD, especially with the Peninsula Promise.
Stuart is running for school board to represent parents of CCSD students, to provide a safe and educational experience for all students, and to make sure CCSD supports teachers and staff.
