Challenger Jeff Smith is running as an Independent for Mayor of Coopertown Tennessee in Coopertown, Tennessee. The election was held on November 5, 2024.
I am Jeff Smith and I am running for Mayor of Coopertown. Our town is a great community with its Southern Charm between two growing communities of Metropolitan Nashville and Clarksville with direct access to Interstate 24.
My professional experience has been in business and finance. As I began my career I began as an accountant and have developed in my career as a Chief Financial Officer and business owner. I have worked in different companies, industries and with clients with different budget levels ranging from start-up to multi million in revenue. My experience both as a business and financial leader will help me serve as Mayor of our community. The town, while its role is to serve its citizens and provide services, also requires operational and financial leadership which I can provide alongside other town elected leaders. I am currently serving as Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee of our town and I have also served in various civic capacities including serving on various boards including roles as President and Treasurer, Church activities including youth groups, board member and Trustee, mentoring in the Big Brother program, and political activities.
