Joe Schippers
Challenger Joe Schippers is running as a Republican for School Board - Zone 3 in Mt Juliet, Tennessee. The election was held on March 5, 2024.
Over the 40+ years of my career in Teaching, Coaching, Managing, and Leading, I’ve found that people working together can solve any problem.
With my bachelor’s degree in health science and master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, I’ve worked in everything from a school system in New Mexico, to an international population in the Netherlands and a tremendous military community at Fort Campbell KY. We’ve lived in and served the middle TN / southern KY region for over 36 years.
The books that need to be addressed in our school system promote things like aberrant sexual activity, assault, alternate gender ideologies, bondage, graphic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, bestiality, suicidal ideation, child molestation, rape, gay and lesbian sex, self-harm and even necrophilia.
None of these behaviors promote academic excellence. None of these behaviors create a positive environment for learning. They do promote confusion, anger, fear, sadness, and lack of hope for the future. I want our Wilson County Students to be happy, successful, knowledgeable, and free from any mental illness.
My Beliefs are simple:
• I believe in God, the Creator of all things.
• I believe that Children are precious, and their innocence should be protected.
• I believe that Parents have the right to determine what and how their children are taught. There should be no hidden agendas.
• I believe that professional Teachers and Staff deserve respect for their work.
• I believe that Taxpayers deserve our thanks for making these schools possible.
