D. Lee Edwards
Challenger D. Lee Edwards is running as a Republican for New Braunfels City Council District 3 in New Braunfels, Texas. The election was held on May 4, 2024.
D. Lee Edwards is a thirty-year resident of District 3 in New Braunfels. Edwards is twenty five year Real Estate Veteran and the owner of D. Lee Edwards Realty, Edwards Commercial Real Estate and Edwards Property Management.
He worked in the Restaurant and Hotel Industry as a Vice President of two Hotel Corporations in the Southeast where he was recognized as the Lodging Industry Leader of the Year in 1992 for the State of Georgia. Mr. Edwards has a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University.
He is currently Chairman of the New Braunfels Planning Commission serving 12 years and past Co-Chairman of the Four River Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee. He was recognized as “Broker of the Year” in December for the Four Rivers Association of Realtors for his leadership, commitment to the Association, his community involvement and his charitable giving.
In addition, over the last six years he is the host of the Local Radio Show the The Real Deal Real Estate Show on KGNB 1420 AM and 103.1 FM.
Edwards has served the community as an NBISD Trustee for six years and President two of those years, Past President of Habitat for Humanity, New Braunfels Rotary, Past Member of the Eden Hill Board and more... He is married to Caryne Edwards, a retired ICU nurse and house supervisor for Christus Santa Rosa New Braunfels and who currently volunteers with Texas Search and Rescue Mounted Division. They have been married for forty seven years. They have two Children former New Braunfels City Councilwoman Aja Edwards and Adrianna Citarella who works as the District RTI/504 Coordinator at NBISD. Son in law Karl Citarella, Captain of the Wimberly Fire Department. D. Lee and Caryne Edwards have two grand kids Ezra and Everett.
