Gil Janner
Gil Janner is running for County Commissioner Precinct 3 in Brenham, Texas, an open seat. The election was held on March 3, 2026.
I am a Precinct 3 native, my family roots in the Mound Hill community go back five generations. I am a graduate of Brenham High School, Blinn College and Sam Houston State University with a degree in agribusiness. I'm currently a maintenance contract inspector for the Texas Department of Transportation and run a small cow/calf operation alongside my family.
I am a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, where I will serve as church council vice president beginning in January. I also serve as chairman of the Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District #348, chairman of the Washington County Beef and Forage Committee, and a member of the Ag Advisory Board. I regularly volunteer my time educating local youth at the annual Ag Day program.
As you can see, service to my community is a top priority for me.
