James Ussery
Challenger James Ussery is running for U.S. House in Quitman, Texas. The election was held on March 3, 2026.
James Ussery is a native East Texan citizen proud to call Quitman his home. James is proud to announce he is running for the House of Representatives for District 32 in Texas as a proud Republican. He and his wife Kimberly have been married for 32 years and have raised three wonderful daughters together. James has been a member of the Church of Christ his entire life mostly attending at the Quitman Church of Christ. He works hard to provide for his family and chose to do so by making his career in the oil and gas industry since 1992. He has encountered many hard-working people throughout his career and wants to be a voice for those that he has had the pleasure to meet, those who share his work ethic and ideals, and those with whom he shares love for East and North Texas and upholding values. James has decided to run to represent all the citizens in district 32 to be their voice as he wants to be more than someone who was just voted in. James wants to hear the concerns and ideas and would enjoy the privilege to bring District 32 concerns and ideas to Washington. He understands the significance of having the people’s trust to represent the great people of his community. He values the idea of communication as James knows by working in the oil and gas industry that reporting with good solid communication to his employer is vital. He understands that the citizens in District 32 will be his employer and promises to report back about how the progress is going. Each deserve to be communicated with in the manner of their choosing whether it be in person, through social media, in the local newspapers, or by telephone. He believes in being able to contact the sitting Congressman directly without having to wait a significant amount of time to hear back, if even at all. Anyone that knows James knows that his family is his pride and joy and considers East and North Texas as part of what he believes in protecting and serving. “In our district we are neighbors that are ready to listen and lend a hand to each other and you deserve your candidate to do the same. “ ~ James Ussery
