Joshua Pezzuto

Joshua Pezzuto is running as a Republican for Argyle ISD Board of Trustees Place 4 in Northlake, Texas, an open seat. The election was held on May 4, 2024.

I’m honored to have this opportunity to introduce myself as I look to earn your vote this spring for the Argyle ISD School Board.
As it can be said about Texas, is also true for Argyle; I wasn’t born here in Argyle, but I got here as soon as I could. My family and I moved to Texas nearly 14 years ago in what was supposed to be a pit stop in our careers; however, little did we know how much we would LOVE living in Texas and the DFW area. Like many others now here in Argyle, we started looking for an area with a little more space and community that fit our family values and goals. We knew that Argyle schools were good, but nothing can prepare you for the culture, pride, and family that is Argyle ISD.

It’s no secret to those a part of it, what we have here is special.

Over the last few years, and even more so this past year, I have had the opportunity to become very involved with our school and community. Last year, I had the privilege of being voted onto the Town of Northlake, Planning and Zoning Commission by the Town Council. Leaning into this type of public service helped me get so much more involved with my town and gave me a different perspective into the challenge that is maintaining the small town feel that we love, while helping to put an intentional plan for the growth that we know is coming.
This past year, I also jumped headfirst into being a volunteer and board member for the Argyle ISD Band Boosters. I took on the challenge of VP of Uniforms, and although I don’t think I knew fully what I was getting into, I can’t imagine anything else. I stepped into the opportunity with the goal of helping and having more time with my son (not sure he fully appreciates that yet), but as the weeks and months ticked by, I grew a new passion for the students and teachers of Argyle ISD. I found myself wanting to do more and be a part of more. I’ve been completely swept up by the culture, pride, and family that is Argyle ISD.

Professionally, I have spent nearly two decades in sales and commercial strategy & operations roles. I’ve had the privilege to work and lead within companies from start-up through billion-dollar global organizations. Please feel free to check me out on LinkedIn. In addition to our professional careers, as local business owners, my wife Jill and I realized a lifelong dream of ours as we opened our Papa Johns in Northlake almost three years ago. For me, better or worse, business has always been personal, and as we build our company, it’s been important to us to build a team that runs the business with the heart and dedication of a family business. We consider our team an extension of family and hope that this extends through to our customers. Throughout these different experiences in my career, regardless of size, the core values that I’ve developed and have learned to be the most important are authenticity, curiosity, communication, and passion.

As we get to know each other better over the next few months and hopefully the next few years, I’m confident that you’ll see the authenticity in my words and actions. I’m an open book and commit to thorough and timely communication. Good or bad, agree or disagree, I know it is better to communicate and to have open discussions rather than holding back. I’m genuinely a curious person and don’t accept the status quo; not to create conflict, but rather to better understand how to create solutions that have the highest benefit and best outcome. Most importantly, you’ll see that I am an extremely passionate person and put my heart and soul into everything I do.

It's no secret, what we have here in Argyle is something special... The culture, pride, and family that makes up Argyle ISD is not something that can just simply be copied or reproduced.

I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get to know each other better and hope to earn your vote this spring.

Respectfully,
Josh Pezzuto
