Kirk Hanath, a lifelong resident of Brenham and proud son of Bernice and Alvin Hanath, is a proven leader with over two decades of dedicated public service. Born and raised in the heart of Washington County, Kirk embodies the strong work ethic and fiscal responsibility instilled in him during his childhood on a family farm. A 1989 graduate of Brenham High School, he continued his education at Blinn College, where he earned an associate’s degree, before attending the University of Texas at Austin. About a year later Kirk decided to return to Washington County to help with the family business. After that, he was elected as County Commissioner for Precinct 3 for Washington County and has been serving in this role for twenty years. Kirk’s early experiences in business and his twenty years as a County Commissioner have helped him hone his practical approach to problem-solving, preparing him to tackle the challenges facing Washington County as Judge.
