Challenger Lacee Smith is running as a Libertarian for City Council in Payson, Utah. The election was held on November 21, 2023.
I am a wife, mom, friend, and businesswoman. When I am not spending time with my family you will find me riding my horse, baking sourdough bread, canning, and advocating for animal shelters.
I am running for city council because I believe that everyone in Payson matters and deserves to be heard. Payson is at a crucial time in its growth. I want to be an active member of the community that will help keep our small-town roots during the anticipated expansion and many challenges Payson is facing.
With my background in finance, I can step into this role quickly, while helping analyze budgets, keeping the growth smart and listening to the citizens of Payson.
We are all experiencing tough times. Many of us question the intent or necessity of increases in taxes and fees. I will dedicate myself to the fiscal responsibility of Payson that many are asking for.
I would love to work towards having more community involvement for future decisions that our town faces. I will do so with regular updates and inform the citizens of any changes in the works.
